The I Ching calendar
The I Ching calendar divides each day into twelve double-hours of two hours each, and casts a separate hexagram for every one of them from the stem and branch of that very moment. The table below marks which double-hour suits which undertaking — setting out, seeking money, documents, examinations, breaking ground and the rest.
Each double-hour's hexagram is cast from the stem and branch of that hour, not from the moment you look it up, so it reads the same today as it will next year. The calendar does not depend on age, sex or name either. Hours follow the clock where you are standing.

T means it suits, × means it does not. Each double-hour gets its own hexagram, cast from that moment; an hour only enters the suiting column when the undertaking succeeds and the Self line is sound — both have been weighed. Each stroke in a day cell is one double-hour, counted from the hour of Zi: a bold stroke is an hour that suits something. This calendar is computed in advance: each double-hour's hexagram is cast from the stem and branch of that very moment, not from the moment you look it up — so it reads the same today as it did a year ago.
